Kotiza, the digital tontine registry.

A tontine is a rotating savings group. Kotiza keeps its register for the organizer, in Senegal and across the diaspora: who has paid, who is due, whose turn it is. Reminders go out over WhatsApp and SMS under the Kotiza name. Kotiza keeps the record; it never holds anyone's money.

Ownership & operation

Two companies, one owner

Kotiza belongs to the Ascend Intelligences group. The two companies below are owned and managed by the same person, Madogal Tall. Each uses the Kotiza name for its own part of the service.

Ascend Intelligences LLC

A limited liability company registered in the State of Maryland, United States (SDAT Department ID W27302025). It publishes this website and holds Kotiza's messaging infrastructure: the WhatsApp Business account and the SMS sender identities used to reach members under the Kotiza name.

Ascend International Professional Service SUARL

A single-member limited liability company registered in Dakar, Senegal (RCCM SN.DKR.2024.B.30459, NINEA 011403467). It runs Kotiza in Senegal: it publishes the service at getkotiza.com, it is the party to its terms of use and privacy policy, and it bills the organizers.

Messaging

What Kotiza sends, and what it doesn't

Kotiza sends its members service messages only: one-time sign-in codes, contribution reminders and payout notices. They go out over WhatsApp, through Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, and by SMS. Kotiza never uses them for advertising. A member who wants to stop receiving them can ask the organizer of their tontine, or write to the address below.
